 The 6th grade Lady Junior Knights will participate in the Northern Illinois Girls Feeder Basketball Association for the upcoming season.

Congratulations to all that made the Lady Junior Knights.  To those that did not make the team, this year, continue working on your game and skills and please come back for tryouts next year.

For the 2009 - 2010 Basketball Season, the Girls 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Teams will be participating in the East Division of the Northern Illinois Girls Feeder Basketball Association that includes the following teams...

• Hersey
• Buffalo Grove
• Elk Grove
• Prospect
• Rolling Meadows
• Wheeling
• Stevenson
• Lake Zurich

The conference schedule with consist of 14 conference games (7 home and 7 away).  The schedule will be completed the first week of December.

Congratulations to the 5th Grade Lady Junior Knights who played extremely well throughout the 2008-2009 Season.  The girls ended the year winning many more games than they lost and they finished by winning 4 out of their last 5 games.

This age group definitely played with their heads and lead with their hearts!!!

Congrats to all the girls and to Coach Greg LaCost for creating a making the whole experience an excellent one for everybody involved.

 The Directors and Coaches can't wait to see this age group next year - enjoy the Spring and Summer and we'll see everybody in Fall!!!

Congratulations to ALL Lady Junior Knights Teams who gave a fine showing at the 2009 Bartlett Hawks Girls Travel Basketball Tournament with a combined record of 12 and 5.

Overall the Prospect Lady Junior Knights showing in tournaments is a combined 45 and 24, which is a very respectful .652 winning percentage and when you add in conference and non-conference games, our record sits at 65 and 26, which is a .714 winning percentage - these are excellent results.  But success alone is not gauged by winning and losing and we've seen a ton of individual and team improvement as well - Go Knights!

Congratulations to ALL Lady Junior Knights Teams who gave a fine showing at the inaugural invitational 2009 Antioch Winter Classic basketball tournament with a combined 8 and 4 record.

The fifth grade girls faced a tough team from Lake Geneva in the first round.  After falling down 9 points in the second half, our Lady Junior Knights fought back to tie in regulation.  It was a battle in the 1st overtime and our girls tied it up again and sent it into double overtime.  The girls prevailed in the second overtime, rested for 5 minutes and then took on Antioch.  They beat Antioch by 4 and moved on to the championship game against 9-0 Carmel.  Our girls played well against a very polished team, but fell just short by 5 points.  This is our second championship game this year finishing just shy of 1st place.  All these young girls deserve a congratulations for their stellar start of the season!

Congratulations to ALL Lady Junior Knights Teams / Grades who gave a fine showing at the Prospect Junior Knights 2009 Kickoff Classic sponsored by the Prospect High School Booster Club with a combined 12 and 6 record.

Almost all of the teams that participated in the tournament commented, emailed or called about how successful the tournament was.

The Lady Junior Knights Teams, Coaches, Directors and Parents would like to thank the Prospect Boosters and the Prospect High School Service Club for all the hard work and support!!!
